Lucknow: Students at Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) will now have the facility to do online practical experiments through Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee’s virtual labs.The DSMNRU has been officially recognised as a virtual labs nodal centre by the IIT Roorkee. This means, DSMNRU students can access online simulation-based engineering, technology and science experiments using digital, simplified models of real-world systems to test scenarios, predict outcomes and analyze behaviors without physical risk or high costs.“This initiative will make the learning process more effective, particularly for students with disabilities,” said DSMNRU spokesperson Yashwant Virodai.The DSMNRU will provide necessary infrastructure (including computers and internet facilities) to students for accessing IIT Roorkee labs. It will be mandatory to organise at least a workshop per semester. No additional fee is to be charged from students for this facility.
