Lucknow: To ensure effective implementation of self-enumeration under the first phase of Census-2027, a coordination meeting was held at the Lucknow collectorate on Wednesday.Chairing the meeting, district magistrate Vishakh G asked the officials to intensify public awareness efforts and motivate people to participate in the census through digital platforms.He said that self-enumeration would begin from May 7, during which people will be able to fill in their census details online.The DM instructed the officials to ensure active participation of departmental staff, their families and the public.The DM stressed the need for strong inter-departmental coordination and directed departments to use the support of public representatives, social organisations, educational institutions and media for wider outreach.He said that self-enumeration help desks should be set up in offices, special awareness drives should be launched and nodal officers should monitor progress.Special campaigns will be conducted to involve doctors, lawyers, traders, social workers and other prominent citizens to encourage public participation.
