Lucknow: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) president Rajiv Memani on Thursday said that UP govt’s policy-driven approach towards attracting investments and creating a business-friendly ecosystem was praiseworthy.Congratulating chief minister Yogi Adityanath for this “change in UP” in a courtesy visit, Memani said that the state made progress in industrial development, infrastructure expansion, ease of doing business and overall socio-economic transformation under his leadership.An official statement said: “Discussions between the CM and CII chief also focused on investment promotion and the state govt’s efforts to position UP as a major economic growth centre.”Officials said that the industry body pointed to improvements in connectivity, logistics and industrial infrastructure in the state, particularly with the development of expressways, industrial corridors and manufacturing projects.Senior industry representatives Sunil Misra, Alok Shukla and Sukanta Roy were also present during the interaction.CII reaffirmed its commitment to continue working closely with the UP govt to support the state’s growth journey and contribute towards its vision of emerging as one of India’s leading economic powerhouses.
