LUCKNOW: Sirathu MLA and Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) chief Pallavi Patel was booked by Railway Protection Force (RPF) after she staged a protest with a large number of party workers at Charbagh railway station on Saturday afternoon.During the protest, Patel climbed atop an inspection rail car (train) stationed at platform number 3, while several supporters spread across railway tracks inside the station premises.According to SHO, RPF Charbagh Northern Railway, Bhupinder Chaudhary, the protest began around 1.15 pm and ended within a few minutes.Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Northern Railway Lucknow division, Devaansh Shukla, confirmed to TOI that RPF Charbagh Northern Railway has lodged a case against Pallavi Patel and several unidentified persons under sections 145 and 147 of the Railway Act for nuisance and trespassing on railway property and tracks.Station director of Charbagh railway station, Gaurav Dixit, told TOI that railway operations were not affected due to the protest as it ended quickly. He added that no railway property was damaged during the demonstration.Section 156 of the Railways Act, that prohibits dangerous passenger behavior such as travelling on the roof, steps, or engine of a train.
