Lucknow: After a video went viral of an elderly man carrying an elderly woman patient on a handcart, allegedly after being refused treatment at the district hospital in Bareilly, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday ordered an inquiry into the matter.Pathak directed the director general of health services to send a senior officer to investigate the incident and take action against those found responsible.He said negligence in treatment of patients would not be tolerated. “Providing treatment to the poor and needy patients is the govt’s priority. Every citizen should get proper and respectful healthcare services,” he said.
