Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will launch an affordable housing project on Sitapur Road where around 900 flats for Low Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families will be developed on 16,000 sq metres of land recently cleared of encroachment near Shia PG College.The scheme will include 582 LIG flats and 336 EWS flats in multistoried apartment towers. The LIG category will consist of 2BHK flats with an estimated cost of around Rs 35 lakh per unit. The EWS category will comprise 1BHK flats at approximately Rs 15 lakh.All towers will be interconnected. The complex will include eight passenger lifts and three service lifts. Basement and stilt parking arrangements for more than 600 vehicles have also been planned. Additionally, around 3,000 square metres will be reserved for green spaces.LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar said the tendering process for the construction is expected to begin soon.
