Lucknow: Members of Jankipuram Vistar Sanyukt Kalyan Mahasamiti on Thursday submitted a complaint at the Jalkal camp office regarding low pressure of drinking water supply for the past six months in the Jankipuram Vistar area.They said water low supply pressure from overhead tanks in Sectors 3, 5 and 8 has forced nearly 6,000 households to ration water.Mahasamiti general secretary, advocate Vinay Krishna Pandey, said that they had lodged the complaint three months ago, but nothing was done despite assurances that the issue would be resolved. “Also, tube wells from which water tanks are filled frequently develop faults and repairs are delayed, leading to shortage of supply” he said.Residents also complained about sewer overflows, foul smell and poor sanitation.General manager, Kuldeep Singh, said the department was looking into the problem and resolve it soon.
