Lucknow: Police on Thursday registered an FIR against an LPG agency operator in Ramnagar area of Barabanki over alleged irregularities and stock discrepancies.The action was taken after a surprise inspection by supply inspector, Anuj Singh, found 120 LPG cylinders missing from the agency.The inspection orders were given by Ramnagar SDM, Anand Tiwari, who had received several complaints from consumers, alleging that the agency was not delivering cylinders despite booking confirmation and DAC generation.Acting promptly, the SDM directed the supply inspector to conduct an immediate inspection and initiate action.During verification at the Shri Lodheshwar Indian Gas Service, the inspection team allegedly found around 120 cylinders missing from the allocated stock, including 21 commercial cylinders. The inspection reportedly found 78 filled domestic cylinders and 30 empty cylinders less than the prescribed stock quantity.Officials also detected irregularities in the distribution of other categories of cylinders.Authorities further found that the agency office often remained closed and that gas distribution was not being carried out as per the prescribed schedule.
