JAMMU: A 60-year-old man died and seven others, including two children, were hospitalised on Friday after they allegedly consumed a wild vegetable in J&K’s Rajouri district. All the affected people belonged to two families.Officials said on Saturday, the incident was reported from Mohra village in Kotranka sub-division, about 40km from Rajouri town. Mohammad Hussain died during treatment. Those who fell sick included Mohammad Imran, 8, and Ratish Ali, 6. They were admitted to community health centre, Kandi, and later shifted to govt medical college and hospital in Rajouri.“Prima facie it is a case of food poisoning,” officials said, adding that its exact cause is being investigated.
