A video of Bengaluru-based American tech professional Tony Klor has gone viral on X after he reacted to the kind of scores displayed on a roadside billboard showing high-achieving students. In the clip, Klor said he was shocked by the level of competition in India and joked that he would not have been able to survive it.As Klor walked past the board, he recorded rows of names and percentages, many of them close to full marks. He appeared surprised while reading them out loud. In the video, he said, “This is why I would have never made it as a student in India. I mean look at the competition.”He then went on to react to multiple scores listed on the board, including very high percentages. Reading the names and marks one by one, he said, “Tanishka 99.3 percent… leave a little bit for the homies. I mean Ruchi got a straight 99 flat,” Klor continued.Online users reacted to Tony Klor’s video and the pressure of the Indian education system and the scale of competition. One user said, “sadly even after studying this hard, so many students struggle to secure a high paying job.”Another comment read, “It’s just numbers like the population… this is the reason why Japan is the top when it comes to real education.”Some users pointed to competition itself, saying, “The competition is the reason why there is no actual development. Each kid has their own strengths and weaknesses.”
