CM Suvendu Adhikari on Monday announced the formation of two judicial commissions, headed by former HC judges, to probe allegations of atrocities against women and children, as well as institutional corruption and misappropriation of funds during the tenure of the TMC govt. “Both commissions will start functioning on June 1,” the CM said.Meanwhile, police have launched 458 new inquiries related to the 2021 post-poll violence, registered 181 fresh FIRs, and reopened 59 cases in which final closure reports had already been submitted.
