LUDHIANA: Punjabi singer Yashinder Kaur aka Inder Kaur, 29, was found murdered in Ludhiana Tuesday, six days after she was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint, reports Payal Dhawan. The suspect is an alleged ‘suitor’ who lives in Canada and is believed to have come to India via Nepal to kill her and flown back on May 13, the night she was killed. Her body was found in Neelon canal. “One km away, we found her car. It had bloodstains. Initial probe suggests she was shot in the car and then dumped in the canal,” Jamalpur SHO Dalvir Singh said. She was killed within hours of being abducted, cops said.Singer’s death: Water may’ve erased clues The water may have washed away some evidence in the Punjabi singer Yashinder Kaur murder case. Jamalpur police registered an FIR against the woman’s friend Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, of Moga who lives in Canada. His father, Pritam Singh, and a friend, Karamjeet Singh, have been arrested. Yashinder’s brother Jyotinder told police his sister left home in her car on May 13 to buy groceries but did not return.They learnt that someone had kidnapped her at gunpoint and approached police. Police registered an FIR for abduction and added murder charges after the body was found.
