Lucknow: Workers and members of various youth wings of the Samajwadi Party staged a protest at Hazratganj intersection on Friday against the NEET paper leak, rising inflation, unemployment and hike in fuel prices.The protesters raised slogans against the state and central govts, accusing them of failing to control inflation and prevent repeated exam paper leaks. Demonstrators alleged that the recurring leaks were jeopardising the future of students and unemployed youth across the country.According to the party, police attempted to disperse the protesters forcefully, with several workers being dragged on the road and manhandled. They claimed many youths sustained minor injuries in the scuffle.Police later detained several protesters and transported them in buses to Eco Garden, a designated protest site in the city.
