Lucknow: Eight schools in the district are under scrutiny after complaints of fee irregularities were found valid during a meeting of the district fee regulatory committee chaired by district magistrate, Vishakh G.A total of 28 complaints were received against 20 schools. After investigation, eight complaints were found correct.The administration has issued notices to the eight schools asking why a penalty of Rs 5 lakh should not be imposed for violation of the Uttar Pradesh self-financed schools fee regulation act, 2018 and its 2020 amendment. The schools have been asked to respond by June 1.District inspector of schools, Rakesh Kumar Pandey said, “Fee rules are clear, schools must follow them, any deviation will invite action, we are reviewing records and responses.”
