UGC NET June 2026: The National Testing Agency has reiterated that the extended application and fee payment window for UGC NET June 2026 will close today, with no further extension to be granted. Candidates yet to complete the registration process have been advised to submit their forms and examination fees within the prescribed deadline on the official website.According to the public notice issued by the agency, the last date for online submission of the application form was extended from May 20, 2026, to May 23, 2026, till 10 am. The last date for payment of examination fees through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and UPI has also been extended till 11.50 pm today.NTA issues final advisory for applicantsThe agency stated that the extension opportunity was provided only once and no additional time would be allowed for submission of forms or payment of fees. Candidates have been instructed to complete the entire process online, including fee payment, to be considered eligible for the examination.The notice further stated that applicants must download and keep the confirmation page after successful submission of the form. Only those candidates who complete the fee payment successfully will be treated as having completed the application process.Candidates have also been advised to verify all details carefully before final submission, as incomplete or incorrect information may affect their candidature.Examination schedule and eligibility detailsUGC NET June 2026 applications opened on April 29, 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer Based Test mode for eligibility to Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor posts and PhD admissions.The correction window for submitted forms will remain open from May 25 to May 27, 2026. Exam city intimation slips are expected by June 10, while admit cards are scheduled to be released by June 15.Candidates belonging to the General category are required to pay Rs 1,150 as examination fee. The fee for OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 600, while SC, ST and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs 325.Applicants must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55 per cent marks. Reserved category candidates require 50 per cent marks. Final-year postgraduate students and candidates holding a four-year bachelor’s degree with 75 per cent marks are also eligible under specified conditions.
