Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh have been in a dispute regarding ‘Don 3’. After Ranveer’s exit from the film, Farhan filed a legal suite against the actor. Now the matter has been taken to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), where Farhan filed a complaint against Ranveer over his exit from the highly anticipated film. Ranveer, who was announced as the lead actor for the project, has been at the centre of speculation after reports suggested that the film was put on hold due to disagreements between him and the makers.FWICE is now expected to address the issue publicly during a press conference scheduled for May 25, where it will reportedly reveal its decision after reviewing the complaint and related developments. In its official statement, the film body confirmed that it would discuss the matter involving Akhtar’s complaint against Singh over his reported withdrawal from Don 3.FWICE further stated that the complaint was forwarded through one of its affiliated associations, the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), of which Farhan Akhtar is a member. The federation also clarified that it would announce its position only after examining the complaint and evaluating all aspects linked to the matter.Speculation surrounding ‘Don 3’ intensified after reports claimed Ranveer Singh had decided to walk away from the project. While the actor has not issued any official statement on the rumours, industry reports suggested that differences regarding the script and creative direction may have played a role. There were also reports claiming Farhan Akhtar had explored options to replace Ranveer. However, after the reported success of Dhurandhar, those plans were said to have changed. Later industry chatter suggested that Ranveer himself had begun reassessing his upcoming projects in line with his recent career momentum. Reports further claimed that Excel Entertainment was considering seeking compensation worth nearly Rs 40 crore, citing money already invested in pre-production and production scheduling setbacks. It was also reported that Ranveer Singh had agreed to compensate for the amount.According to industry reports, the production banner believed work on the film had moved ahead with the actor’s approval. As conversations around the situation intensified, reports also suggested that the Producers Guild of India could step in to help resolve the issue.Adding another layer to the speculation, rumours linked Aamir Khan to private discussions aimed at sorting out the reported dispute. However, the actor later denied being involved in any such conversations.
