Even after completing 26 days in theatres, the film continues to attract audiences and add to its impressive total.According to Sacnilk, the fantasy film earned Rs 45 lakhs net in India on Day 26. The collection represents a decline of 15.1 percent compared to Day 25, when the film collected Rs 53 lakhs net.While daily collections have naturally slowed after nearly four weeks in theatres, ‘Karuppu’ has managed to maintain a steady run.
Worldwide gross reaches Rs 305.46 crore
The film’s worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 305.46 crore. In India, the film has accumulated Rs 194.38 crore in net collections. Its domestic gross collection has reached Rs 224.66 crore.‘Karuppu’ added Rs 10 lakhs overseas on Day 26. This pushed its international gross collection to Rs 80.80 crore.
‘Karuppu’s strong performance across four weeks
‘Karuppu’ enjoyed an excellent start during its opening week. The film collected Rs 113.85 crore net during its first seven days in theatres.The second week also remained strong. The film added another Rs 54.30 crore net to its total. During this period weekday collections remained steady and helped maintain momentum. The third week brought in Rs 21.20 crore net.Now in its fourth week ‘Karuppu’ is still generating daily revenue. The steady run has played a crucial role in helping the film cross the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide. On Day 26, the Tamil version collected Rs 40 lakhs net. The Telugu version added Rs 5 lakhs net. Both versions contributed to the day’s overall total.‘Karuppu’ was screened across 896 shows on Day 26. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 21.12 percent. Night shows registered the highest occupancy at 24.36 percent. Afternoon and evening shows also reported healthy attendance levels.Tamil Nadu remained the film’s biggest market on Day 26. The state contributed Rs 41 lakhs gross out of the day’s total gross collection of Rs 51 lakhs.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 7 lakhs gross.
