Lucknow: Chief Minister’s Office has ordered a probe into alleged overcharging and irregularities by a private hospital in the city.Additional chief secretary to the CM Sanjay Prasad forwarded the complaint to the district magistrate, directing verification and action as per rules.The complaint alleged that over Rs 3 lakh was charged during an 11-day admission between May 30 and June 10, with no improvement in the patient’s condition.Allegations of unnecessary tests, inflated billing and misbehaviour by hospital authorities have also been raised.The complainant has sought a high-level inquiry, cancellation of licence, registration of an FIR and refund of the amount with interest.
