Lucknow: An 18-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide at her home in Aishbagh on Wednesday. Her family claimed she was under depression after the cancellation of the medical entrance exam she had appeared for. Her father is a Travelling Ticket Examiner.Police said she was a bright student and had cleared the Class XII this year. “Her parents told us she was dedicated to her studies and had spent an entire year preparing for NEET. She was confident of doing well,” SHO Brajesh Singh said. However, the examination’s cancellation allegedly left her deeply disheartened.Family members told police that she had became withdrawn in recent weeks and often expressed anxiety about her future. Despite efforts to counsel and support her, she continued to struggle emotionally. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.
