As NEET UG 2026 approaches, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a message to candidates, asking them to stay calm and trust their preparation. With only three days left for the examination, the agency said students should focus on doing their best and avoid getting distracted by rumours or unverified information.The NTA said the examination will be conducted as scheduled and urged candidates not to be influenced by speculation regarding a possible postponement. It advised students to rely only on official communication issued by the agency.Seeking to reassure candidates, the NTA said extensive arrangements have been made for a safe, secure and fair examination. According to the agency, these measures have been put in place in coordination with relevant ministries, state governments and security agencies.“The integrity of this process is our highest priority, and robust, multi-layered safeguards have been put in place,” the NTA said. It added that any attempt at malpractice would be dealt with firmly to protect honest candidates.The agency also referred to the decision taken on 3 May of cancelling the exam folllwing paper-leak allegations, saying it was made solely in the interest of students. “The moment a problem was identified, we acted to protect the fairness of the process for every sincere candidate. We have carried those lessons forward and strengthened the system further this time,” it said.Recognising the pressure many students may be feeling, the NTA reminded candidates that support is available through the MANAS mental health helpline on 14416. “If the pressure feels heavy, please know you are not alone,” the agency said, adding that seeking help is a sign of strength.The NTA also appealed to parents, teachers and the wider community to help keep students calm by avoiding the circulation of unverified information. It urged everyone to support candidates so they can enter the examination hall with confidence and peace of mind.
