NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday held its second protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, with founder Abhijeet Dipke saying that he would not leave the demonstration site until Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns over alleged examination irregularities and paper leaks. The protest drew a large gathering of students and supporters, with heavy police deployment at the venue. Demonstrators raised slogans demanding accountability from the government and carried placards highlighting concerns over alleged failures in conducting fair and transparent examinations.Responding to Dipke’s call, supporters arrived with “thali and chammach” (plates and spoons), banging them as a symbol of protest. Chants demanding Pradhan’s resignation echoed across the site as protesters renewed their calls for action over examination management issues affecting students and job aspirants.Dipke, who was greeted by cheering supporters on arrival, said the movement was focused on addressing students’ concerns. “We are here to solve today’s students’ problems,” he said.Addressing the gathering, Dipke also appealed to the police to extend permission for the protest, saying the demonstration would continue until their demands were addressed. “We won’t leave Jantar Mantar until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns,” he said.Ahead of the protest, Dipke had written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking accountability over issues raised by students. The June 20 demonstration follows an earlier CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, where the youth-led group highlighted alleged paper leaks, examination irregularities and delays affecting aspirants across the country.
