JAMMU: At least 25 people were injured after a minibus ferrying pilgrims to Shri Sukrala Mata Temple in Billawer, in J&K’s Kathua district, plunged into a gorge in Simbli area on Wednesday. Officials said four of the injured were in critical condition.The minibus was ferrying devotees from Goran and Sumb villages in Samba district to the shrine. En route, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle near Dingi Simbli on Dhar Road, causing it to roll into the gorge, officials said.Locals, civic administration, and police personnel launched a joint rescue operation and rushed the injured occupants — including the driver — to a nearby health facility. Those in serious condition were later shifted to Kathua GMCH, officials said.Police registered a case and launched a probe to establish the cause of the accident.
