Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Saturday visited Bilauti village in Bihar’s Bhojpur district to meet the family of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari, who was allegedly killed in a police encounter earlier this month.Expressing condolences, Rai assured the bereaved family of the Congress party’s support in their fight for justice. He demanded a fair, transparent and time-bound probe into the incident, saying the truth must come out and those responsible be held accountable.Claiming that Tiwari had been raising local public issues and had no criminal cases against him, Rai said raising one’s voice in a democracy could not be treated as a crime. He added that the Congress would continue its struggle until the family gets justice.
