Lucknow: The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on Sunday announced list of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the Home Guards Enrolment-2025 recruitment drive, calling 1,07,221 candidates for document verification (DV) and physical standards test (PST) against 41,424 vacancies across the state.According to an official notification issued by the board, the shortlisted candidates have been selected on the basis of their normalised scores in the written examination, along with additional marks awarded for preferential qualifications. The merit list has been prepared by considering the candidates’ performance, the prescribed reservation policy of UP govt and district-wise as well as category-wise vacancies.The written examination for the recruitment was conducted on Apr 25, 26 and 27, following recruitment advertisement issued on Nov 18, 2025. A total of 41,424 Home Guard posts are to be filled through the ongoing recruitment process. To ensure adequate availability of candidates for subsequent stages, the board has shortlisted 1,07,221 candidates—approximately 2.6 times the total number of advertised vacancies—for document verification and physical standards testing.The UPPRPB clarified that the shortlist has been prepared only after adding the marks awarded for preferential qualifications to the candidates’ normalised written examination scores. District-wise and category-wise cut-off marks have also been released and are available at the end of the respective district PDF lists published by the board.The board said the schedule for the next phase of the recruitment process, including document verification and physical standards testing, will be announced shortly on its official website. Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the UPPRPB website for updates regarding the dates, venue and other instructions related to the recruitment process.The board also stated that although due care was taken while uploading the information on its website, it would not be responsible for any technical errors. It clarified that no candidate would derive any benefit from any inadvertent error or incorrect publication, and that the board’s decision in such cases would be final.The UPPRPB further advised candidates to rely only on notifications published on its official website for all examination-related information, updates and instructions. Officials emphasised that no separate communication regarding the recruitment process would be issued through any other medium and urged applicants to remain vigilant against misinformation or unauthorised sources.
