LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced that the Linepar area in Moradabad will be renamed after Dau Dayal Khanna, a former Congress MLA who played a key role in the Ram temple movement in Ayodhya.Speaking at an event in Moradabad, Adityanath recalled Khanna’s contribution to the movement and said that his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, served as the president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yajna Samiti, formed in 1983, while Khanna was associated with the movement as its general secretary, according to news agency PTIHe dedicated his entire life to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The government is taking this decision to honour his contribution, Adityanath said.The announcement was made during the chief minister’s visit to Moradabad, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 63 development projects worth more than Rs 365 crore.
