Lucknow: Arjun Dev Singh, radio maintenance officer posted at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya for 17 years, has been transferred to Gorakhpur, official sources said.Singh has been posted in Ayodhya since 2009. During his tenure, he maintained the temple’s wireless communication network, CCTV surveillance system and control room operations. He also coordinated communication arrangements during major religious events and VVIP visits linked to the temple complex.Sources said Singh was transferred in 2024 around the consecration of the Ram Temple, but the move was deferred after the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and senior administrative officials sought continuity for the high-profile event and the expected rise in pilgrim footfall.Apart from technical duties, Singh coordinated communication support for temple management and security planning, becoming a familiar presence within the complex. Officials described the latest transfer as a routine administrative posting. Singh is expected to assume charge in Gorakhpur after completing handover formalities in Ayodhya, including transfer of equipment logs, access credentials and operational briefings.
