Lucknow: The Jalaun district administration has ordered an inquiry after BJP’s block pramukh Ramraja Niranjan accused joint magistrate and IAS officer Rinkoo Singh Rahee of assaulting and misbehaving with him during an inspection of a cold storage facility. The allegations surfaced after CCTV footage of the June 23 incident emerged, triggering a row.In the CCTV footage, Rahee, who was recently posted in Jalaun, is purportedly seen knocking off a mobile phone from the BJP functionary’s hand before the two engage in pushing and shoving each other.District magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey constituted a five-member inquiry committee to investigate the incident.Rinkoo Singh Rahee, a 2023-batch IAS officer who earlier served in the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Board, had earlier made headlines after creating a stir by tendering “technical resignation”, seeking to be sent back to an earlier posting in the social welfare department as he alleged that he was not getting work in his current posting.
