Saharanpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath kickstarted the Digi Rover Special Land Survey Campaign from Saharanpur on Wednesday. This campaign will be carried out across the state till Aug 15, till when pending cases related to demarcation of land and survey will be resolved through Digi Rover (GNSS) technology.While inaugurating the campaign, the CM reinforced his govt’s commitment to making land-related services available to every citizen through a simple, transparent, time-bound and technology-based system.“Land survey has been carried out through traditional methods such as ‘jareeb’, but in view of changing times and increasing land disputes, it has now become necessary to adopt modern technology. Through Digi Rover technology, land survey will be more accurate, transparent and reliable. This will reduce demarcation-related errors, effectively control land disputes and unnecessary litigation,” the CM said.A govt spokesperson said that at present, around 79,157 cases related to land survey and demarcation under Section-24 are pending in the state. The Board of Revenue has issued detailed guidelines to all districts on how the campaign is to be conducted. The overall supervision and monitoring of the campaign will be carried out by the chairperson of the Board of Revenue, Archana Agarwal, while regular review of the campaign, monitoring of progress and necessary guidelines will be given by the commissioner and secretary, Board of Revenue.Agarwal said that for the successful conduct of the campaign, the DDC, district magistrate, additional district magistrate (revenue), sub-divisional magistrate, tehsildar, naib tehsildar, revenue inspector and lekhpal will work together. “This campaign will not only prove to be a milestone in the swift resolution of pending survey cases, but will also play an important role in reducing land-related disputes, ensuring the protection of the land rights of farmers, and further strengthening technology-based good governance,” she said.
