The scene in question appears to be amid a rural setup. Although it is unclear if the image is an AI interpretation of the film shoot, it has got fans buzzing with excitemnet about his turn as Lord Rama in the upcoming film.The makers have so far, only teased Mahesh Babu’s look from the film in a teaser trailer. This image, believed to be a fan-made post, gives a clear look at what the actor may look like in his Lord Rama avatar.Director Rajamouli previously revealed that seeing Mahesh Babu in his Lord Rama avatar, gave him “literal goosebumps”. He also stated that Mahesh has the “charm of Krishna and the calmness of Rama”.Another image doing the rounds online, features a poster of Mahesh Babu holding a trishul in his hands. While the image was shared last year, it is now going viral after featruing among the promotional material during Rajamoulis’ fan interactions.The image comes amid fresh interest in ‘Varanasi’ after director SS Rajamouli went about promoting the film in France. The filmmaker has previously confirmed that the Mahesh Babu-starrer is a standalone film and revealed that audiences can expect an estimated 20-30-minute Ramayana, which has been shot in IMAX format.‘Varanasi’, which stars Mahesh Babu alongside Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is currently in production. Rajamouli recently revealed that the film has around 80 days of shooting remaining before it wraps up and begins post-production work.The film is slated to release in April 2027.
