A major anti-terror search operation was launched in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday after security forces received intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, prompting a massive cordon and search exercise, officials said.According to PTI, the operation was launched in the Meemandar area of Shopian after security agencies received specific information indicating the possible presence of militants.“A CASO was launched in Meemandar area of Shopian,” an official said, adding that the operation was initiated following inputs regarding the presence of terrorists.Following the launch of the operation, security personnel tightened the cordon around the area and began systematic search operations to trace the suspected militants, officials said.This is a developing story.
