Lucknow: A few instances of disorder were seen on Sunday as the Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival concluded at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, with some visitors taking mangoes that had been displayed at the venue.“We had cleared the hall and asked visitors to vacate before packing began, but in the rush a few people still managed to grab mangoes,” said security personnel Maninder Singh .He added that most arrangements were in place and the halls were also vacated before the packaging of the displayed mangoes began .After the closing ceremony, some visitors picked up mangoes in plastic bags, while a few others placed them in purses before leaving. Children were also spotted taking mangoes, allegedly encouraged by parents during the final moments when crowd movement increased.“These mangoes were meant to be packed and sent to an orphanage. We had a clear plan for donation and had requested visitors to cooperate during the closing process. Children were encouraged by their parents to pick up mangoes,” said an organising committee member, Abhilasha Tiwari.
