Lucknow: A daily wage labourer in Ludhiana, Laxman Kumar, lovingly ordered a teddy bear for his only son, Golu, who was to turn seven this Holi. The gift still lies undelivered, much like the dreams he built around that reunion.Golu was among those killed in the bus accident on the Purvanchal Expressway.Days ago, Laxman sent his wife, Niba, and their six-year-old son to Muzaffarpur in Bihar for Holi, promising to join them soon. “I told them I’ll come later… we will celebrate together,” he recalled, his voice trembling. But that promise now haunts him.Niba survived with injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
