Lucknow: UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary on Saturday directed all state office-bearers to ensure active participation in the programmes and campaigns of the organisation in the run-up to the UP Assembly elections.“Each campaign must not merely be a formality but an effective medium for public outreach and for fostering public trust,” he told the functionaries during an organisational meeting in Lucknow, the first after the restructuring of the UP BJP unit. The state leadership discussed the roadmap for various organisational activities, including upcoming programmes, booth strengthening, public outreach campaigns, tree plantation drives and digital training programmes.Chaudhary noted that since the opposition is constantly spreading lies, confusion and misinformation, the responsibility of BJP workers has increased manifold to counter them.“We must reach out to every section of society to effectively communicate the public welfare schemes, development works and historic achievements of the central and state govts, while countering the opposition’s lies with facts,” he said.He emphasised that the foundation of a strong organisation lay in regular contact and dialogue, active field visits and cordial, personal bonds with workers.Chaudhary said that every office-bearer should undertake regular visits to their assigned areas, review organisational activities and boost the morale of workers at the booth level.“It is the collective responsibility of all to execute upcoming organisational programmes in a timely and effective manner,” he said, expressing confidence that every worker in UP would make every organisational campaign successful with complete dedication, discipline and commitment. He said that party workers should play a pivotal role in realising PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Developed India’ (Viksit Bharat) and chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s goal of a ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh’ (Viksit Uttar Pradesh).State general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh said BJP was a booth-based organisation, and the booth must remain the focal point of all activities. He said the organisation’s strength cannot be fully realised unless the booth is strong; therefore, every office-bearer must prioritise booth empowerment and maintain regular visits and continuous contact with public. He emphasised the need to establish regular contact and dialogue at every booth with primary and active party members, veteran and new workers, former office-bearers and public representatives. The expansion and strengthening of the organisation are achieved not merely through meetings, but through continuous contact, coordination and active participation. All office-bearers should regularly review organisational activities within their respective areas of responsibility and foster cordial relationships with the workers.Describing the upcoming tree plantation drive as a crucial mass campaign for the organisation, Singh urged every office-bearer to participate in it and to transform it into a mass movement by involving maximum number of workers and citizens.Singh said BJP’s ‘Digital Booth Training Campaign’ was a historic initiative aimed at integrating technology with the organisation. He said that every office-bearer and worker must play an active role in giving significant momentum to this campaign in UP.Singh said that digital training should be completed by connecting the maximum number of workers at every booth to the ‘Saral App’.
