NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (UoD) has released the DU UG 2026 simulated rank list for more than 2.06 lakh candidates through its undergraduate admission portal. The tentative ranks have been prepared on the basis of candidates’ Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 scores and the programme preferences submitted during the admission process. Candidates can access the simulated rank list on the official admission website. The university has clarified that the simulated rank list is only a provisional indication of likely ranks and should not be treated as the final position for admission to undergraduate programmes. Candidates whose names appear in the list can still modify, add, delete or rearrange their programme and college preferences before the final ranks and seat allotment are announced.Simulated ranks based on CUET scores and submitted preferencesAccording to the university, the simulated ranks have been generated using CUET 2026 scores along with the preferences filled by applicants. Since candidates are allowed to revise their choices after viewing the simulated ranks, the final rank in any programme may change before the admission process moves to the first allotment stage. The university has advised applicants to carefully review their preferences during the permitted revision window. Any changes made by candidates may affect their final programme-wise ranking before seat allocation.Tie-breaking rules and verification processUoD stated that Class 12 marks will be used to resolve ties wherever candidates secure identical positions based on CUET scores. The university also warned that any discrepancy or incorrect information in the Class 12 marks submitted by applicants could result in cancellation of candidature without prior notice. Responsibility for the consequences of submitting inaccurate information will rest entirely with the applicant.Performance-based courses excluded from simulated ranksThe university said simulated ranks have not been generated for BA (Hons) Hindustani Music, BA (Hons) Carnatic Music, BA (Hons) Percussion Music, BSc in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports, and Bachelor of Fine Art programmes. Admissions to these courses will be conducted through performance-based assessments instead of the simulated ranking process.Record registrations and first allotment scheduleThe 2026-27 undergraduate admission cycle has recorded the highest number of registrations since the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) was introduced in 2022. A total of 2,18,284 candidates registered for DU UG CSAS 2026 admissions, while 2,06,835 applicants completed the preference submission process.According to the university notification, the first phase of DU UG CSAS 2026 seat allotment will be announced on July 16, and candidates allotted seats must confirm their admissions by July 18.
