JAMMU: At least 18 pilgrims in a Pahalgam-bound Amarnath Yatra convoy were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving two SRTC buses, a car, and a private bus in J&K’s Ramban district on Monday morning. The pile-up temporarily affected vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, officials said.The accident occurred at Langar Point in Chanderkote around 7. 21am, officials said. One SRTC bus collided with another, and the impact pushed the second SRTC bus into a car, which then crashed into a private bus.All injured pilgrims were rushed to Ramban district hospital. They had sustained only minor injuries and were in stable condition, officials said. Police launched a probe.Early Monday, the 12th batch of 7,754 Amarnath devotees left the Yatri Niwas in Jammu’s Bhagwati Nagar for the twin base camps in Kashmir’s Baltal and Pahalgam under elaborate security arrangements.
