LDA on Tuesday sealed an illegal store built in the side setback of a prominent hotel in Gomti Nagar. It was found during a joint inspection by LDA and fire department teams. Zonal officer Devansh Trivedi said “As the management could not produce the required documents, the LDA court ordered the sealing of the illegal store.” Trivedi said the hotel management sought 24 hours to vacate the illegal basement. The LDA accepted the request. The basement will also be sealed if it is not vacated within the given time. It was also found that a part of the basement was built in the green belt area allotted to the hotel on lease.
