Prayagraj: A joint team of the STF and Maharashtra Police arrested a criminal wanted in loot and theft cases registered in Maharashtra’s Thane district from Kathara Bazaar area on Wednesday night.Police identified the accused as Prasant Vishwakarma, a resident of Baraut village under Handia police station limits. They said six criminal cases are pending against him at different police stations.According to police, Prasant and his associates allegedly attacked a rival gang member on June 10, leaving him injured. Following the incident, he returned to Handia, where he was tracked down and arrested.
