Lucknow: The Ram temple trust has set the five-point agenda for its next meeting scheduled in Ayodhya for July 22.The meeting will take place at Mani Ram Chhavani at the seat of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the chairperson of the trust.All the eight permanent members are expected to attend the meeting. The board of trustees is likely to induct more members after discussions and deliberate on suitable candidates for the post of chief executive officer.Krishna Mohan is likely to be elected as the general secretary of the trust (he is presently the interim general secretary).The trust members may also review the final report prepared by the special investigation team (SIT) which is probing the Ram temple donation money embezzlement case.“So far, we have not received the SIT report. We hope to get a copy of the probe findings ahead of the July 22 meeting,” a source said.Out of 11 positions for the permanent trust members, three are lying vacant.While former raja of Ayodhya, Bimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, passed away in Aug last year, former general secretary Champat Rai and trust member Anil Mishra resigned from their positions last month.Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra could also take a call on the overall working structure of the trust.People roped in as workers by the trust said that a clear system and process were likely to be introduced. “Teams working for various purposes at the Ram temple were so far handled and managed by senior RSS and VHP volunteers in a random manner. Though hiring of the agencies took place after bidding and tendering, the staff members were reporting to people who were close to either Rai or Mishra. “Now, a proper system is likely to be introduced,” a volunteer deputed by the trust said.The three-member committee constituted on July 6 to shortlist a suitable candidate for the post of the trust’s CEO could also submit its recommendations ahead of the July 22 meeting.Retired judge Pramod Kohli, former lieutenant Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi and former nuclear scientist Suresh Haware, who is presently a member of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, are going through the applications of the individuals who are interested in taking up the role.Ever since eight people were arrested Ram temple donation theft case, the trust has started looking at various options being followed by popular religious shrines in the country.The CEO will assist the general secretary and trust members in managing the daily operations of the Ram temple in a transparent manner.
