Lucknow: UP’s growth story is incomplete without the active participation of women entrepreneurs, and a women-exclusive industrial park will give wings to the state’s development, said the newly appointed national president of Ficci Flo, Puja Garg, on Friday.“India’s first all-women industrial park is in Hyderabad. UP has all the elements needed to build a similar one of its own, and we are in the process of pushing the same with the state government,” she said. “Keeping trends and industry needs in mind, we have identified four sectors that are driving the economy and creating jobs — textiles and handlooms, agriculture and agro-processing, green technologies, and the circular economy (waste to wealth),” she said. Meanwhile, the newly appointed chairperson of Flo Lucknow, Simran Sahni, said the national body has allowed the inclusion of a fifth goal and given chapters a free hand in deciding it. “For UP, we have chosen tourism and hospitality, considering the state’s surging tourism economy,” she said.
