Israel Defense Forces said Iran has launched a long-range missile capable of travelling about 4,000 km for the first time since the start of “Operation Roaring Lion,” warning that the development poses a wider global threat.“The Iranian terrorist regime launched a long-range missile for the first time… that could reach a distance of ~4,000 km,” the military said, adding that such capabilities mean missiles “can reach London, Paris or Berlin.”The IDF said it had previously revealed during “Operation Rising Lion” in June 2025 that Iran was seeking to develop missiles with a 4,000-km range, which it said would threaten “dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.” Iran had denied pursuing such capabilities at the time.“We have been saying it: The Iranian terrorist regime poses a global threat,” the statement said.It added that Iran has carried out attacks against 12 countries in the region and is continuing to develop capabilities that “pose a much broader threat.”This comes as the Middle East conflict continues with Israel, Iran both carrying out strikes at each other.
