Lucknow: Lucknow Police Commissionerate identified 3,729 Holika Dahan sites and made extensive security and traffic arrangements for peaceful celebrations. Holika ‘Dahan’ (bonfire) will be on Mar 2, followed by playing of colours on Mar 3 and 4. Several Holi Milan programmes and fairs will continue beyond main festival days, hence authorities have at hand a multi-layered law and order plan.To secure large number of Holika sites and related events, there will be deployment of four additional deputy commissioners of police, 12 assistant commissioners of police, 19 inspectors, 72 SIs and 400 constables. The traffic wing will be reinforced with 22 inspectors, 75 SIs, 80 home guards and 660 constables.To strengthen surveillance and response capabilities, 14 companies of PAC, along with wireless units and local intelligence unit teams, have been mobilised.Police said in joint briefings of all departments concerned, detailed instructions were issued on deployment points, route planning and VVIP movement protocols.
