Lucknow: Bodies of a young couple, aged 22 and 20, were found hanging from a guava tree inside a locked house in Lalpur Karauta village under Mohammadpur Khala police station in Barabanki district on Friday morning.Police said that the house belonged to a man who had been living in Barabanki town for the past two decades and his village house used to remain locked.Around 10am, villagers found the bodies of a man and a woman hanging and alerted the police.Family members informed the police that both were missing since Thursday.Station house officer Ashutosh Mishra said the police were looking into the circumstances leading to their deaths.Superintendent of police, Barabanki, Arpit Vijayvargiya, said that preliminary investigation revealed that the woman’s father had allegedly scolded her over her relationship with the man after which the couple took the extreme step.
