Figma partnered with Anthropic on a feature called Code to Canvas that lets developers type “Send this to Figma” inside Claude Code and have the rendered browser state land as fully editable Figma layers. It captures live screens – not screenshots, not static images – and converts them into native Figma frames you can duplicate, reorganize, and refine like any other design artifact. Multi-screen flows preserve sequence and context in a single session. The integration runs through Figma’s MCP server, using the same open protocol that connects Claude to other external tools. The move reverses the traditional design-to-code pipeline that Figma built its reputation on, and it arrives as tools like v0, Bolt, and Lovable increasingly generate frontends that skip designers entirely.
