Manus launched a Telegram integration that puts its full agent capabilities – research, document generation, data processing – inside a chat window. Setup is a QR code scan, no API keys or config needed, and it works across all subscription tiers. Users can send voice messages, images, and documents directly; the agent handles transcription and multimodal interpretation before executing multi-step tasks. Two model options ship at launch: Manus 1.6 Max for complex reasoning and Lite for speed. The move to embed inside existing messaging apps rather than force users into a separate interface follows a pattern OpenAI explored with ChatGPT’s WhatsApp integration and Google tested with Bard in Messages. Distribution through chat platforms people already use daily is becoming the default agent deployment strategy.
