JAMMU: A day after an Army jawan went missing during a river-crossing training exercise in Sunderbani sector in J&K’s Rajouri district, his body was fished out from a river on Tuesday.A joint search party of the Army, National Disaster Response Force, and local rescuers recovered the body of Sepoy Akshit Sharma, aged around 25 years, from the Manawar river in Khour area in the morning, officials said.Sharma was a native of Baijnath in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district. He was posted with the 9 Punjab Regiment.
