NEET UG 2026 application correction: The National Testing Agency has announced that the correction window for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) 2026 application form will open on March 12, 2026, allowing registered candidates to modify specific details in their submitted forms.The national medical entrance examination will be conducted on May 03, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM (Indian Standard Time) in pen and paper mode at examination centres across India and abroad.Correction facility to open for limited periodAccording to the official notice issued by the National Testing Agency, the correction facility will become available from March 12, 2026 at 12:00 hours.Candidates will be able to access the online application portal and make permitted changes until March 14, 2026, up to 23:50 hours.The agency has asked all registered candidates to visit the official website and review the particulars submitted in their application forms. Applicants who identify errors or incomplete details have been advised to use the correction facility within the specified time frame.Officials said the opportunity has been provided as a one-time facility to ensure candidates can rectify mistakes and avoid difficulties during later stages of the admission process.After the correction window closes, no further requests for modifications will be accepted.Fields candidates can modify in application formsThe notice specifies that candidates will be allowed to change either their father’s details or their mother’s details. The editable information includes name, qualification and occupation.Candidates will also be permitted to modify several other sections of the application form. These include educational qualification details for Class X and Class XII and the State or Union Territory from which the Class XII or equivalent examination has been passed or is being attempted.Applicants may also update category details, sub-category or PwD status, signature, and the number of attempts taken in the examination.In addition, candidates will be allowed to modify examination city selection and the medium of the examination based on the permanent and present addresses mentioned in the application form.Candidates who registered using identity documents other than Aadhaar will also be allowed to update their identity details.Additional fee rules and support informationThe National Testing Agency stated that final corrections will become effective only after payment of any additional fee if the changes affect the applicable fee amount.Where modifications lead to a higher fee, candidates will be required to pay the additional amount accordingly. Any excess payment made during the process will not be refunded.Once the corrections are submitted, the application form will be frozen and no further changes will be permitted.Candidates seeking clarification regarding the examination may contact the helpdesk of the National Testing Agency through helpline numbers 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, or through the official NEET website.
