Lucknow: As part of the state’s push to develop eco-tourism in Uttar Pradesh, govt is developing tourism facilities at the Rapdi Eco-Tourism Centre in Firozabad and Kamakhya Van Park in Ghazipur.The UP Eco-Tourism Development Board started work under Phase-2 of the development project at the Rapdi Eco Park in Firozabad at a cost of Rs 5 crore. Under this, the park will get an entrance gate, interpretation centre, and ticket counter. Visitors will also see facilities such as wall climbing, wooden deck, and selfie points. A nature trail will be developed to allow tourists to explore the natural surroundings. Essential amenities, including parking, drinking water facilities, toilet blocks, and signage, are being installed. Facilities such as gazebos and Swiss tents are also planned. At Kamakhya Van Park in Ghazipur, projects worth Rs 1 crore are being implemented to enhance eco-tourism facilities. This includes a special butterfly garden, a landscape park, a water fountain, gazebos, and a children’s park. “An attractive entrance plaza and interpretation centre will also be built at Kamakhya Van Park, which will not only attract tourists but also help them learn about the unique features of the forest park,” said a govt spokesperson.
