Adobe added an AI assistant to Photoshop that lets users describe edits in natural language – remove objects, swap backgrounds, adjust lighting – and a new AI Markup feature for drawing directly on images to guide where changes land. The assistant works on web and mobile, with voice commands on mobile devices. Separately, Firefly Image Editor now bundles over 25 third-party models from Google, OpenAI, Runway, and Black Forest Labs alongside Adobe’s own, turning it into more of a model marketplace than a single-vendor tool. Paid Photoshop subscribers get unlimited generations through April 9. Adobe is clearly trying to make Photoshop the place where conversational editing happens before standalone AI image tools like Midjourney or Leonardo can claim that workflow entirely.
