Lucknow: Three people were killed and four others injured after a speeding trailer rammed into a passenger tempo near Hardiya Chauraha in Basti on Sunday.According to police, the tempo was carrying around seven passengers. When it reached near Hardiya Chauraha, a trailer coming from the opposite direction at high speed collided head-on with it. The impact of the collision was so severe that the tempo was badly mangled, throwing several passengers onto the road. Two passengers, identified as Preeti Shukla and Amarjeet, died on the spot, while the identity of the third passenger was yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report. Bystanders immediately informed the police and helped pull the injured passengers out of the damaged vehicle. A team from Kotwali police station reached the spot and rushed the injured to the district hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
