His remarks came hours after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington had issued a temporary 30-day waiver allowing Indian refiners to purchase Russian oil, amid disruptions caused by the ongoing West Asia conflict.Peskov was responding to questions about Indian media reports suggesting that Russia could deliver around 22 million barrels of crude oil to India within a week.Earlier on Thursday, Russian state television aired a map showing multiple oil tankers moving from the Arabian Sea towards the Bay of Bengal, apparently heading to refineries on India’s eastern coast.Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Moscow was ready to increase crude supplies to India and China, as both countries face energy supply disruptions following US-Israeli strikes on Iran and the effective closure of oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz due to Tehran’s retaliatory actions.
